Bill Cosby plans to return to touring in 2023. Scott Spears, the host of “WGH Talk”, surprised Cosby by revealing this during a Dec. 28 radio interview. When asked if 2023 was the year that he might be able tour again, Cosby replied “yes”.

Cosby, who is now 85, was convicted of a criminal sexual assault charge in Pennsylvania in April 2018. After nearly three years in prison, Cosby was released by the state Supreme Court in 2021.

Cosby stated to Spears, “When I come out from this, I feel like I will be in a position to perform and be Bill Cosby,”

Cosby replied to Spears’ question regarding whether 2023 would be a touring season. Because storytelling is so much fun. It was a decade ago, perhaps 10 years ago, that I discovered it was more fun to speak it after I had written it.

Andrew Wyatt, Cosby’s representative, told Variety that the comedian is “looking forward to spring/summer to begin touring.”

Five women filed a new lawsuit against NBC, Bill Cosby earlier this month under a New York state law which temporarily suspends the statute-of-limits for older sexual assault cases. The women claim that Cosby raped or forced them to have sexual relations. The allegations relate to the 1990s, when Cosby was still a star on “The Cosby Show.” Cindra Ladd is the fifth allegation. She is a former Hollywood executive who Cosby has raped her in 1969.

Wyatt called Wyatt’s lawsuit “frivolous” while claiming that the five women were part a “parade” of accusers who came forward between 2014-2016
